Commonwealth Games swimmer Archie Goodburn has made a passionate plea to prime minister Andy Burnham to increase funding for brain cancer research, saying, “give us a chance to fight for our lives”.

The 25-year-old was diagnosed with inoperable brain tumours two years ago and has since used his platform to call for greater focus on treating the disease.
