India enjoyed its most successful day at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games on Saturday, winning 16 medals to climb to fourth place in the overall standings with one day of competition remaining. A dominant performance in boxing, where Indian pugilists claimed seven gold and three silver medals, led the charge. India also secured medals in para athletics, athletics and judo to take its overall tally to 39 medals, including 13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze. The country now trails only Australia, England and Canada in the medal table.

India's impressive medal haul lifted its tally to 39 medals, comprising 13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze.
Australia continues to lead the standings with 153 medals, including 62 gold, 40 silver and 51 bronze. England is second with 100 medals, while Canada occupies third place with 58 medals.

Boxing powers India's medal surge on Day 10
Indian boxers delivered one of the country's finest performances in Commonwealth Games history by winning seven gold and three silver medals after all 10 finalists stepped into the ring.
Gold medals were won by Sakshi Chaudhary (women's 51kg), Preeti Pawar (women's 54kg), Jaismine Lamboria (women's 57kg), Priya Ghanghas (women's 60kg), Arundhati Choudhary (women's 70kg), Sachin Siwach (men's 60kg) and Ankush Panghal (men's 80kg).
Lovlina Borgohain (women's 75kg), Jadumani Singh (men's 55kg) and Narender Berwal (men's 90+kg) settled for silver medals.
The results completed a successful campaign for the Indian boxing contingent, with every boxer who reached Friday's semi-finals finishing on the podium.
India secures one-two finish in para athletics
India registered a double podium in the men's F57 shot put as Soman Rana won gold with a season-best throw of 13.40 metres, while Shubham Juyal claimed silver with a season-best effort of 13.28 metres.
Cameroon's Cedric Azamdzi finished third with a throw of 12.57 metres.
Athletics brings three more medals
India added two medals in the men's triple jump as Praveen Chithravel claimed silver with a best leap of 16.58 metres and Selva Prabhu Thirumaran secured bronze with 16.52 metres.
Jamaica's Jordan Scott won gold with a jump of 16.72 metres.
In the men's 5,000 metres, Gulveer Singh earned bronze after clocking 13:24.95, finishing just 0.04 seconds ahead of Kenya's Cornelius Kemboi.
Australia's Ky Robinson won gold, while Kenya's Michael Kiplangat Kipsang took silver.
Unnati Sharma earns judo bronze
India also added a medal in judo through Unnati Sharma, who won bronze in the women's -63kg category.
She defeated South Africa's Skye Knoester by Ippon in one minute and seven seconds after executing a decisive leg hook.
