Most men blame their receding hairline and thinning crown on male pattern baldness - but did you know commonly used grooming products could also be the issue?
Every day styling products, such as shampoo or conditioner, could be detrimental to your hair and scalp health, warns hair and skin specialist Sam Cinkir.
He claims that using the wrong products could cause hair loss and dandruff.
Sam, the CEO of Este Medical Group, said: "Styling products can contain between 15 and 25 chemicals and some of those ingredients can damage your scalp, promote dandruff and cause hair follicles to fall out.
"Damaging chemicals such as Isopropyl Alcohol and Propylene Glycol cause drying and breakages and do more damage than good.
"While another common mistake is using too much product and overexposing your hair to chemicals, or being too forceful with the application."

The expert recommends being aware of what you are putting in your hair, and to speak to your barber about your grooming routine.
Sam added that quality products can include cheaper substances - these can strip the hair of natural oils and proteins, leaving you vulnerable to breakage and hair loss.
When purchasing products, watch out for Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Laureth Sulfate, which are found in shampoos to clean oil and dirt from the hair.
Other products, such as Isopropyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol and Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) can also have a negative effect.
He explained that natural products, such as coconut oil, are best for maintaining a healthy scalp.
The way you apply these products can also be damaging, warns Sam.
A style that places pressure on the hair follicles, such as a pulled-back look, can be harmful as they make strands brittle and prone to falling out, he added.
