The Washington Commanders selected Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson No. 16 overall in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft.
Washington initially held the No. 11 overall pick before making the first trade of the night with the New Orleans Saints. New Orleans moved up from No. 16 to No. 11 to select Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave. In return, the Commanders received the No. 98 and the No. 120 overall selections.
