Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris has made himself plenty involved throughout the quarterback interview process at the 2024 NFL Scoutin Combine.
This is an important position for the team with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, and they’ll have their pick of the litter outside of any player who is taken first overall at the quarterback position, of course.
Harris, who is attending his first-ever Combine as an NFL owner, has sat in on all six of the interview processes for the top quarterbacks available, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
All of this is of note and out of the ordinary for how things usually go in regard to team owners in relation to the Combine.
“Attending his first combine as the Washington Commanders owner, Josh Harris has sat in and taken part of each of the six interviews that the team has conducted with the top quarterback prospects in this draft,” Schefter wrote.
The fact Harris is present alone is something unique already, but to be this involved is even more so.
“Most owners don’t attend the combine; Harris is not only in Indianapolis but a part of the quarterback interview process.”

Regardless of who the Commanders take with their first selection of the draft, there will be no question they’ve done their homework at the highest level. That’s expected to come down to Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams and Drake Maye, though there are a number of quality options in what appears to be one of the deepest quarterback draft classes in recent history.
