The Commanders just drove 30 yards in eight plays, and Joey Slye came through hugely with a long 58-yard field goal to give Washington a 20-14 lead over Philadelphia.
Taylor Heinicke has not been flawless, but he has been at times very efficient, completing 12 of 121 for 145 yards. No doubt the plan was to get the ball to Terry McLaurin more often, and it has been productive thus far. McLaurin has six first-half receptions for 76 yards with a long of 26 yards in his eight targets.
