The BBC’s Comic Relief themed TV shows are to air this week with the aim of raising awareness and funds for charity. There will be a range of comic TV shows all this week, from Friday, March 18.
The broadcasting of Comic Relief this week will be live from MediaCityUK in Salford on Red Nose Day. There will be a range of shows airing on the special day that will include celebrity guest appearances such as This is MY house, Bedtime Stories and more.
Funds raised for Red Nose Day will go towards helping tackle important issues including homelessness, hunger, domestic abuse, and mental health problems. These issues have been heightened even more so since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The night of Comic Relief TV is set to have a lineup of fun entertaining shows for fundraising for good causes.
Bedtime Stories for Comic Relief
CBeebies is known for having celebrity guests occasionally host Bedtime Stories. For this week’s special edition for comic relief, Stephen Fry and a range of other celebrity guests will be hosting Bedtime Stories for kids to nod off to.

Glow Up
The BBC’s popular make-up artist competition show will also have a comic relief special as Lady Leshurr, Nikki Lilly, Roman Kemp, Snoochie Shy and The Vivienne will become Make-Up Artists for Glow Up Does Red Nose Day.
The Red Nose Day special one-hour episode will air on BBC Three in March.
This is MY House
Ricky Hatton, Claire Richards, Deborah Meaden, and Robert Rinder celebrities will join the This is MY House cast for a one-off episode to claim that one house belongs to them. There will also be a celebrity judge panel consisting of Chris Eubank, Harry Hill, Claudia Winkleman and Nina Wadia who will work together to collectively decide who they think which celebrity owns the house in question.
This Is My House for Red Nose Day airs Wed 16th March at 8 pm on BBC One.
Blue Peter
The classic children’s show, Blue Peter will be live at 5 pm with a sneak peek into the main studio to find out what entertainment is lined up for the evening.
Blue Peter for Comic Relief airs on Friday 11th March and Friday 18 March at 5 pm on CBBC and BBC iPlayer.
Countryfile One Red Nose and Their Dog
Britain’s much-loved sheepdog trial is being given a Red Nose Day special as comedians Tim Vine and Kiri Pritchard-McLean head to the Welsh countryside to give a training masterclass with top handlers and their sheepdogs before they put their newfound skills to the test.
The training special will air on Countryfile, Sunday 6 March, 5:30 pm, BBC One.
