Comedians criticised for failing to challenge Trump on their podcasts

Zach Galifianakis criticised comedian podcasters for failing to challenge Donald Trump during interviews, asserting that a comedian's job is to make powerful figures uncomfortable rather than to “suck up” to them.
The actor highlighted that Donald Trump has appeared on several podcasts hosted by comedians, including The Joe Rogan Experience, Flagrant, and This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von.
Galifianakis contrasted these appearances with his own Between Two Ferns interview with Hillary Clinton, where he insisted on discussing her email controversy despite initial objections from her team.
He also referenced his acclaimed interview with Barack Obama, which Conan O'Brien lauded as 'hilarious' for Obama's willingness to engage with Galifianakis's intentionally rude persona.
Galifianakis dismissed Conan O'Brien's suggestion that Donald Trump could humanise himself by being the 'butt of the joke,' stating that such an approach 'wouldn't work' with him.
