The show is now hoped to take place on July 14 and will see Rhod recall an experience of when he hit rock bottom and then met a gentleman named John.

Announced on the star's official Facebook page, the comedian apologised for the rescheduling. It read: "I’m really sorry to say that my show at Swansea Arena this week is being rescheduled. I’ve been following doctor’s advice but I’m still struggling and have been advised to rest a bit longer. My throat is as tight as a tow rope and not up to performing.

"The Swansea show will now take place on 14th July. All tickets will remain valid and ticket-holders will be contacted to this effect. I’m so very sorry for any inconvenience. It’s a really tough decision, and not one I have taken lightly. I was really looking forward to performing in this exciting new venue, but we will all have to wait a bit longer. Hope to see you all in July! All other performances are scheduled to go ahead as planned." You can read more stories about Swansea here.
