Comedian Carlos Mencia arrested on 12 felony tax charges

Comedian Carlos Mencia was arrested Thursday and charged with 12 felony counts for allegedly failing to report and pay taxes on more than $8 million in income, prosecutors said.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced the charges, describing Mencia as “one of California’s biggest tax scofflaws.”
