Come Dine With Me is on the hunt for Scots to take part in a new series as it heads to Glasgow.
Glaswegians are encouraging to show off their cooking and hosting skills in a brand new series of the Channel 4 show. Sharing the news to their official social media channels, the statement read: "Attention Glasgow locals ! Do you think you are an amazing dinner party host?
"Want to show off your home cooking skills? APPLY : bit.ly/cdwm2023 Or email cdwm@multistory.tv for more info! It's time to get applying for COME DINE WITH ME GLASGOW."
Come Dine With Me recently filmed in Glasgow in 2021 as local social media star Dazza took to the screens to show off his deep fried menu. The comedian left his fellow contestants and viewers speechless as he deep fried his entire menu, even down to the lettuce accompanying his lasagne main course.
The Channel 4 show also took it's spin-off Come Dine With Me Professionals to Glasgow as three local restaurants battled it out for the top spot. Popular local eateries - Bloc+, Amore d'Italia and Maki and Ramen - all took took part in the series before the late night Bath Street restaurant Bloc+ took home the crown at the end of the week.
For those looking for more information on the cooking competition, the programme description reads: "A group of five contestants compete to host the best dinner party. At the end of each dinner party, each guest rates the party on a scale of one to ten inclusive.
"At the end of the last party, the host of that party gets the voting results, which they read to the other competitors. The competitor with the highest score wins £1,000. In the event of a tie, the £1,000 is split between the winning contestants."
In order to be eligible to participate in the Programme, the following eligibility requirements need to be met:
- You must be aged at least 18 (eighteen) years of age
- You must be a legal resident in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and also be currently living in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man
You must also not be:
- Currently employed by us or the Broadcaster and have not been previously employed by us, any of the ITV group of companies or the Broadcaster; or
- A live-in partner or immediate relative (i.e. mother, father, son, daughter, brother or sister) of an employee of ours or the Broadcaster or any of the ITV group of companies;
- and have not been a professional chef or trained as a professional chef (for the avoidance of doubt, the Producer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to decide what constitutes a professional chef or relevant training).
