Colts WR Ashton Dulin a non-participant in first Week 15 practice

Indianapolis Colts’ wide receiver Ashton Dulin was a non-participant on Wednesday during the team’s first Week 15 practice.

Dulin would exit the Colts’ Week 12 matchup against Detroit in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury. The following week, he did not practice and was then ruled out of the team’s Week 13 game versus New England.

At this time, no timeline or other details about Dulin’s injury have been reported.

Oftentimes this season, Dulin as been the Colts’ fourth wide receiver, at least from a snap-count perspective, regularly seeing more playing time than AD Mitchell.

On the year, Dulin has caught 2-of-8 passes for 67 yards, including a 54 yarder in the season opener against Houston. Dulin has also been involved in the run game as a blocker and, occasionally, a ball carrier, with five rushes for 45 yards.

Special teams is where Dulin sees the most playing time, with 230 snaps in 2024, the third-most on the team. He plays across five different phases, including as the flier on the punt coverage unit and a return man on kickoffs, where he’s averaging almost 40 yards per return on three attempts.

Without Dulin in Week 13, Mitchell took on a larger role on offense, while rookie Anthony Gould helped fill in on kick return duties. Making up for what Dulin does elsewhere on special teams is a group effort.
