The Indianapolis Colts activated center Ryan Kelly and linebacker Jaylon Carlies from injured reserve on Saturday. Both players will be available for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.
In order to make room on the 53-man roster for these additions, the Colts also announced that they waived safety Darren Hall as a corresponding move.
The Colts claimed Hall on waivers from Arizona prior to their Week 10 matchup with Buffalo. They had a roster spot open at that time because they had placed Kelly on injured reserve.
Hall was a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft by Atlanta out of San Diego State. In his career, he’s appeared in 35 regular season games, with 923 snaps coming on defense and 196 on special teams, according to PFF.
Although listed as a safety with the Colts, the bulk of Hall’s snaps in the NFL have come at cornerback, playing both on the boundary and in the slot.
In coverage, he’s allowed 58 completions on 77 targets at 11.4 yards per catch with three pass breakups.
Since joining the Colts, Hall has been inactive on on Sundays from Weeks 10-15.
