In their latest edition of NFL power rankings, Touchdown Wire ranked the Indianapolis Colts at No. 11 overall following the 2022 NFL draft.
While USA TODAY had Indy at No. 10, the Colts are just outside the mark in Touchdown Wire’s eyes. They are still holding the highest spot in the division, though, after the moves the Tennessee Titans made this offseason.
Here’s what Nick Wojton of Touchdown Wire had to say about the ranking:
The Colts added QB Matt Ryan to an offense that has RB Jonathan Taylor. We have to wait and see if Ryan works in Indianapolis, but signs feel pretty positive about Indy already.
With so many new pieces coming into the organization, the offseason work will be vital. Ryan will be the fifth consecutive quarterback in as many seasons to lead the offense while the defensive side of the ball is undergoing a schematic change with new coordinator Gus Bradley in charge.
The additions of cornerback Stephon Gilmore and defensive end Yannick Ngakoue also will take some time to assimilate—even though the latter has experience working with Bradley.
Winning the division should be the prime focus of the Colts, and they seem to have their shot at doing so if all goes according to plan.
