Leonard, who suffered the concussion during joint training camp practices with the Chicago Bears, missed the final two games of the preseason but was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice.

This was The Maniac’s second concussion in less than a calendar year, but he didn’t express any concern about that impacting the future of his game. He did mention that he’s unsure whether there will be a pitch count in Week 1 between the concussion and his recovery from back surgery.
Though defensive coordinator Gus Bradley is going into his second season with the Colts, Leonard was limited to just 74 snaps in 2022 so this is essentially his first season playing in this scheme.
Regardless, Leonard’s presence will be a massive boost to a defense that would love to add his elite play-making ability to the middle of the unit.
