Of course, the Colts and their scouting department have been scouring the nation during the month of March, traveling to pro days ahead of the 2023 NFL draft.
According to Hawkeyes beat writer Kennington Lloyd Smith III, all 32 teams were represented at Iowa’s pro day.

There are some interesting prospects coming from the Hawkeyes in the upcoming draft, though they may not come at positions of need for the Colts.
Edge rusher Lukas Van Ness is likely the biggest name of the crop as he’s a borderline first-round pick in 2023. Meanwhile, some analysts have linebacker Jack Campbell as the top off-ball linebacker in the class, and he improved his stock greatly at the NFL combine.
Tight end Sam LaPorta is an intriguing sleeper and fringe Day 2 pick considering his athleticism as a receiving tight end, and cornerback Riley Moss had a solid showing at the NFL combine that could warrant a Day 3 selection.
The Colts may not be in the market for these players after their early free agency moves, but they did get a good look at the Iowa prospects on Tuesday.
