The Indianapolis Colts re-signed free-agent defensive end Khalid Kareem, the team announced Monday.
Kareem, 24, was a fifth-round pick with the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL draft out of Notre Dame. The Colts signed him off the Bengals practice squad in December of the 2022 season, appearing in four games down the stretch.
Kareem has appeared in just 11 games over the last two seasons after playing a full campaign during his rookie season with the Bengals in 2020. He is likely going to be battling for a roster spot during training camp in the defensive end room.
Kareem is the sixth player from the Colts’ 2022 roster to re-sign with the team this offseason.
