Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons and Indianapolis Colts left guard Quenton Nelson are two of the most physically and cerebrally dominant players at their respective positions.
Both are known for their physical superiority and ability to set the tone for their team within the trenches. And when these two players line up against one another, rest assured that you’re getting your moneys worth on that specific rep.
The two have had their fair share of individual battles in the past, and needless to say, physicality isn’t lacking whenever they meet.
With the second and final meeting between these two teams set for this weekend, Nelson was asked about Simmons and offered high praise for Tennessee’s star defensive lineman.
“It’s [Simmons’] power and then the way he plays the game,” Nelson said, per The Athletic’s Stephen Holder. “He plays hard. He’s got a motor. He’s one of the strongest if not THE strongest D-tackles I’ve gone against. And he’s not one dimensional. He can hit you with the pass rush or in the run game. He’s definitely the heart of that defense.”

Very strong praise from one of the best offensive linemen in the entire NFL as he and Simmons are just a few days away from adding another chapter to this budding individual rivalry between two AFC South standouts.
