Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson Jr. has been working hard since being drafted to prepare himself for the rigors of being a starting NFL quarterback.
This includes packing on 11 pounds since the NFL scouting combine to get up to 255 pounds. Richardson ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash at the scouting combine at 244 pounds, which wowed everyone. Richardson played his final season at Florida at 232 pounds
Now, as Richardson moves forward with the goal of starting this season for the Colts, he’s taking everything into consideration including the hits he will take as a dual-threat quarterback.
Richardson has been impressive in all phases of his development since being the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. He is being fast-tracked to be a starter and with the best running back in the NFL behind him, could have a huge rookie season.
