The Indianapolis Colts signed guard Jack Anderson to the active roster from the practice squad and released guard Ike Boettger, the team announced Tuesday.
Anderson was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 12 but spent the majority of the first half of the season on the injured list due to calf injury he suffered during the preseason with the New York Giants. He returned to the practice squad in October when he became healthy.
Anderson can play both guard positions while providing some depth at center, and he takes the place of Boettger, who spent roughly three weeks on the active roster. He spent time on the practice squad before that so there’s a chance he is signed again.
