Colts’ Anthony Richardson exits with injury to throwing shoulder

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson exited the game early against the Tennessee Titans due to an apparent injury to his throwing shoulder.

During the second quarter, Richardson took a designed run for four yards and suffered a shoulder injury when he was tackled by two defenders. It wasn’t a wild tackle or a dirty play, but Richardson immediately started pointing to his right shoulder.

He walked off the field in visible pain and couldn’t move his shoulder as he was walking to the locker room.

While it’s likely due to just bad luck, it’s still a bit concerning that Richardson has played just one full game during the early part of his rookie season.

Hopefully, it’s not a long-term injury, but we likely won’t get an update until after the game is over.
