Brown initially signed with the Oakland Raiders following the 2017 draft and was waived during final roster cuts ahead of the 2018 season.
He then signed with the Cleveland Browns practice squad a few weeks into the season and spent some time on the active roster before ending the campaign on the injured reserve list due to a shoulder injury.
He also spent time with the Houston Texans (2020-2022) and the Browns again in 2022.
In 55 career games (33 starts), Brown has recorded 51 receptions for 473 yards and two touchdowns, mostly coming during his time in Houston.
Known more for his blocking, Brown will be joining a tight end room that currently consists of Mo Alie-Cox, Jelani Woods, Kylen Granson, Andrew Ogletree, Nikola Kalinic and Jalen Wydermyer.
