Police investigating the death of Clair Ablewhite have issued an update after the mum was found dead in her home.
Mum-of-three Clair Ablewhite, 47, was found dead after Nottinghamshire Police officers were called to a property on Hall Lane shortly before 6.30pm on Saturday (February 26).
It has now been confirmed that the woman moved into the property earlier this year.
The attack is believed to have happened on Friday (February 25) night or in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Speaking to Nottinghamshire Live, Assistant Chief Constable Rob Griffin said: "Claire lived at the location where she was found.
"She had not been living there for very long, she moved in there sometime earlier this year."
The coroner has been informed about the "unnatural death" of Ms Ablewhite.
In the latest update on the investigation, Assistant Chief Constable said that a couple of officers are still at the "small premise".
A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder but has since been released under investigation.
He added: "It is not the right time to be discussing the evidence we have managed to gather, but suffice to say there are a large number of inquiries that are being pursued at the minute.
"One of those lines of the inquiry, that is always the case in a murder investigation, is CCTV.
"We will be trolling the area for available CCTV.
"We are still examining the scene, gathering forensic evidence and we are still conducting searches.
"I am obviously speaking to lots of witnesses and people who knew Clair and might be able to provide any relevant information that is relevant to the investigation."
He made a public appeal and said: "The first appeal is to anybody who was in the area of Colston Bassett on Friday evening all the way through to the early hours of Saturday morning.
"If you were in the area and you saw anybody or anything, then I would ask you to please come forward and speak to us."
In the second part of the appeal, ACC Griffin added: "It might be that you knew Clair and she has shared something with you that you might think is relevant to the investigation.
"If that is the case, I would ask you to contact us."
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 669 of February 26, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
