Sanders, the son of head coach Deion Sanders, posted a record-setting effort, becoming the first quarterback in program history to throw for 500-plus yards.
Hunter, the Buffaloes two-way talent, was sensational playing a total of 129 snaps on both sides of the ball. On the offensive side of the ball, Hunter hauled in a game-high 11 receptions for 119 yards, while recording three tackles and an interception on defense.
After the game, both Sanders and Hunter's odds to win the Heisman sent oddsmakers scrambling. Entering the game, Sanders was offered as 150/1, while Hunter was listed at 100/1 at SI Sportsbook.
Following their incredible showings, Sanders was trimmed to 28/1 while Hunter was sliced to 25/1. Despite the massive moves, both players still trail USC's reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams, who sits atop the betting board to repeat at odds of +450.
