The Colorado Rockies will take on the San Diego Padres in their Opening Day game on Thursday night from Petco Park. The Rockies are not expected to have a stellar season this year, and they will be up against some tough competition in the NL West.
As for the Padres, they have made some significant moves this offseason, and they are expected to be a force to be reckoned with in 2023. The Padres already boast a powerful lineup that includes OF Juan Soto, 3B Manny Machado, 1B Jake Cronenworth, and DH Matt Carpenter. They have also added free-agent SS Xander Bogaerts, who will add even more firepower to the lineup.
