Colombian President Gustavo Petro says he would “take up arms” against the US if President Trump carried out threats of military strikes on Colombia.

In a social media post on Monday, Petro, a former leftist fighter, called on Colombians to defend democracy and national sovereignty, warning that any violent intervention in the country would be met with a response.
