Colombia’s President has accused Donald Trump of being a “white slaveholder” in an extraordinary statement amid a row over migrants.

It came as the White House claimed victory over Colombia into accepting flights of deported migrants from the US, hours after Mr Trump threatened steep tariffs on imports and other sanctions.
