Collin Morikawa What's In The Bag?
American star Collin Morikawa had a lightning fast start to his career with several outstanding results on the PGA Tour including five PGA Tour victories, two of which came in Major Championships - the 2020 PGA Championship, and 2021 Open Championship.
Morikawa has maintained a steady trajectory in his career, consistently hovering around the top 5 in the official world golf rankings and is known for his exceptional tempo throughout his golf swing. He almost always looks to hit a peeling fade but what clubs does he use to do so? We take a closer look below.

Driver
What Driver Does Collin Morikawa Use?
Morikawa used the TaylorMade Qi10 LS driver last year but since the launch of the Qi35 family, he has made a pretty seamless transition into the Qi35 LS driver. Despite this model designed for those with faster swing speeds who want to lower the flight and reduce spin, other TaylorMade ambassadors such as Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler have been playing a tour only 'dot' offering, combining the aesthetics of the LS with the MOI of the standard Qi35 model. The latter we consider one of the best driver models around in 2025.
Morikawa plays a 9° head set on standard, half a degree lower than he played in his Qi10 LS driver. Shaft wise, Morikawa has made no changes to the big stick as he continues to use the Diamana D+ Limited - a shaft he has trusted for a few years now and one that is considered one of the best driver shafts around.
Fairways
What Fairway Woods Does Collin Morikawa Use?
Morikawa carries a three-wood (14 degrees) and five-wood (18 degrees) at the moment. The former is a SIM Ti model whilst the latter is a TaylorMade Qi10 fairway wood. The American uses the same Diamana shaft he plays in his driver in both fairway woods just slightly heavier in 80 TX.
Having put the Qi10 to the test on the golf course last year, it's clear to see why this fairway wood was so popular among professional golfers. They can regularly be spotted within the bags of non-contracted players which is always the sign it must be one of the best fairway woods.
The standard Qi10 fairway wood is the middle option of the three in the range, offering a mid spin and launch profile as well as a fixed hosel, versus the lower spinning Qi10 Tour fairway wood which features both loft and sliding weight adjustability to really dial in the ball flight. For a more forgiving fairway wood we would suggest the Qi10 Max version.
Irons
What Irons Does Collin Morikawa Use?
Morikawa has been seen with both a P770 4-iron as well as a P7CB 4-iron in the bag. They likely launch and spin a little differently and will choose which one he's going to put in play each week during a practice round. He then uses TaylorMade P7CB's in 5 and 6-iron before moving into P730's from 7-iron to pitching wedge. Combo sets are becoming more and more popular on tour as they allow for control in the short irons while still offering forgiveness in the longer clubs. In all of his irons he uses a very popular model out on Tour, the True Temper Dynamic Gold X100's.
Morikawa is one of the best iron players in the world so unsurprisingly these are irons for low handicap golfers and will not suit those looking for more forgiveness in their irons.
Wedges
What Wedges Does Collin Morikawa Use?
Moving to the wedges, Morikawa carryies two TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 wedges with 50 and 56 degrees of loft, and then a TaylorMade MG4 TW 60 degree model which is the design built for Tiger Woods. Tiger is as meticulous as any golfer out there so as you might expect these are among the best golf wedges for spin control.

As with his irons, Morikawa also uses True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts in his wedges, although he opts for a slightly softer S400 flex as opposed to the X100's found in his irons.
Putter
What Putter Does Collin Morikawa Use?
Morikawa has started the 2025 season with the TaylorMade TP Soto in the bag despite testing numerous models, including a Logan Olsen blade prototype model ahead of last year's Players Championship. This is the same brand that Scottie Scheffler moved into at the start of 2024 and has since been acquired by TaylorMade Golf. Collin is "a tried and true blade guy" according to TaylorMade and while he has tinkered with the odd mallet here and there, you'll mostly find him using a blade putter with a single dot as his sightline.
Ball
What Golf Ball Does Collin Morikawa Use?
The smooth-swinging American uses a TP5 golf ball. Despite using a TP5x when he first turned pro, gravitating towards it because it was the lower spinning, firmer model, he found that it had a negative impact on his chipping. He as though he was scooping the ball because he wasn't spinning the ball enough. As such he gave the TP5 ball a go and it has seemed to work. Hardly surprising as it is one of the best golf balls on the market.
Speaking to Golf.com he said; “It took me a week or two to really get used to the feel of the TP5 ball. I had really never used that soft of a ball. It took me a little time, but I’ve gotten used to it now. It feels completely normal. My wedges spin great. It feels great off the putter. I like a soft feel off the putter anyways… it’s just been awesome around the greens, feel, everything; in the wind it’s amazing, too. It’s been a great ball and definitely a great switch. Easy transition to say the least.”
Apparel/Shoes
What Shoes Does Collin Morikawa wear?
Morikawa has an apparel deal with adidas and wears Adidas Adizero ZG golf shoes. Adidas shoes are often ranked among some of the best golf shoes we test all year and this particular model is also worn by Ludvig Aberg.
