Every college football season, we see a wider range and greater amount of bets to win the College Football Playoff at sportsbooks. For some casual bettors, it’s about throwing down a few dollars on their alma mater. For others, it’s about value. And for some, it’s just about throwing a lot of money on a bet to follow for five months.
My favorite wager last year was one bettor who put not one, but two separate wagers on Utah State to win the national championship at 1,000-1 odds (for a very silly reason). Sadly, the Aggies finished 6-7.
