The 2024 Heisman race will primarily feature quarterbacks. Twelve of the last 14 Heisman winners have played quarterback and almost all of the top preseason Heisman contenders play quarterback.

Notre Dame is hoping to make a playoff run in 2024. The Fighting Irish need a big season out of Riley Leonard in order to be in the playoff conversation. Leonard, who did not put up incredible stats last season due to injuries, is capable of making all the throws and should have Notre Dame winning quite a few games. Leonard is a threat with his legs and had 33 total touchdowns in 2022.
