Texas needed a win in the Big 12 championship game to keep its dreams of reaching the College Football Playoff alive, and the Longhorns played like they knew the stakes.
Texas blew out Oklahoma State, 49–21, on Saturday in Arlington, Texas, emphatically stating their case to be one of the top four teams in the country.
However, just because Texas won doesn’t mean the Longhorns will get into the Playoff. The Longhorns likely need Georgia, Michigan or Florida State to lose, with the Seminoles’ No. 4 spot being the most attainable position.
