Collard maintains innocence as Saints appeal long ban

St Kilda are appealing the nine-match ban given to Lance Collard for uttering a homophobic comment, saying the young forward maintains his innocence.

Collard was handed a nine-game ban for uttering an offensive slur in a VFL game, rejecting evidence from the 21-year-old who denied making the offensive remark.
