Colin Farrell and his son Henry Tadeusz Farrell looked the picture of happiness at last night's Oscars awards in Hollywood.
Father and son stepped out together as they enjoyed the most extravagant night celebrating the past year of the movie industry at the Dolby Theatre for the star-studded awards ceremony.
Colin, 46, was nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of Pádraic Súilleabháin in The Banshees Of Inisherin alongside his co-star Brendan Gleeson who was up for Best Supporting Actor.
Colin took his 13-year-old son Henry to the event and happily posed for pictures together on the champagne-coloured carpet in front of the world's media.
Colin and Henry opted to wear sparkling white shirts with contrasting black buttons as well as a black suit jacket and matching trousers, paired with a dickie bow tie.
The pair rocked patent leather shoes as they smiled at the awaiting cameras while Colin proudly wore a pin badge of Ireland's flag on the lapel of his jacket.
Colin shares Henry with Mexican-born Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, whom he met on the Ondine set before they split in 2010.
During the ceremony, Colin went face to face with the likes of Austin Butler for his portrayal of Elvis, fellow Irish star Paul Mescal for Aftersun and Bill Nighy for Living.
However, the award was handed to Brendan Fraser for his role in The Whale.
But during the event, the Irish star appeared to hit out at the American television show, Saturday Night Live.
While hosting the Oscars, host Jimmy Kimmell explained that a fan had written in and explained that while they loved Colin's performance in The Banshees Of Inisherin, they were unable to understand him.
Responding to the comment, Colin hit out: "Watch SNL from last night."
His outburst appears to be a reference to a Saturday Night Live skit which aired on Saturday night (March 11) and has since been blasted as "offensive" and "mean-spirited" for its portrayal of the Irish.
During the clip, Mario Lopez and Maria Menounos or Kit Hoover (Marcello Hernandez and Heidi Gardner) were interviewing celebs in an Oscars skit before the main event.
Heidi Gardner said: "I'm told that we have the stars of The Banshees of Inisherin, Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson," before Mikey Day and Molly Kearny play the Irish stars.
"How do you guys like your chances tonight?" asked Gardner before the pair respond in thick Irish accents, to which Marcello Hernandez commented: "Wow, and they haven’t even started drinking yet!"
Taking to Twitter, viewers were far from impressed with one writing: "Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson will be amongst the most charming and articulate nominees there tonight, but SNL still thinks it's funny to reduce them to stupid, boring Irish stereotypes? Get in the bin."
"It truly wouldn't be St Patrick's week without SNL making some offensive joke based on Irish stereotypes that wasn't funny in 1970, yet alone 2023," said another.
