Coleraine striker Eoin Bradley showed that he has lost none of his Gaelic football ability with an incredible score for his club Glenullin this weekend.
The former Derry forward, now 38, has concentrated on soccer in recent years and has made quite the impact with Coleraine in the Irish League.
Bradley scored the last goal in the Irish Cup final four seasons ago as Coleraine beat Cliftonville 3-1.
But he has continued to operate with his club Glenullin in the Derry league and championships and can still pull off the seemingly impossible on occasion.
On Saturday the club faced Faughanvale in the James O’Hagan Cup final at the Glenullin grounds where Bradley produced a wonder score.
From right out on the left sideline, beyond the 45-yard line, Bradley stepped up and sliced the ball with the outside of his left foot. The curling long-range effort caught out the goalkeeper and the ball ended up in the net.
The score was caught on video by Niamh Boylan and quickly circulated online. Bradley, who last played for Derry over a decade ago, quickly became aware of it on social media, tweeting “I may break Twitter again tonight.”
So far, the clip of the booming score has been viewed almost 12,000 times.
Glenullin went on to beat Faughanvale 1-8 to 0-7 in the decider.
