Coleen Rooney looks downcast as she breaks cover after defending marriage in documentary

Coleen Rooney has been photographed following the release of her husband Wayne Rooney's highly-anticipated Amazon Prime documentary.

The Liverpudlian, 35, appeared lost in thought as she exited a gym in Cheshire, close to the mansion she shares with football star Wayne and their four children - Kai, 12, Klay, eight, Kit, five, and three-year-old Cass, on Friday.

In the captures, the fashion-forward star is seen make-up free with her brunette locks tied in a loose ponytail.

Coleen styled up a pair of leggings teamed with an oversized red and white sweater for her sweat session.

Adding an extra layer of warmth, she added a black padded gilet to her workout look.

As she strolled along the pavement, with her keys and phone in her hand, Coleen didn't look like she was buzzing off post-exercise endorphins as she furrowed her brow.

This week, Coleen's thoughts on her husband's infidelities were revealed for the first time as she broke her silence on his escapades in scenes filmed for the ex-Manchester United player's documentary.

In the film, Colen says that she’s learned to “live with” Wayne’s infidelities and that their relationship isn’t what it was.

She says on camera that she and Wayne are not “lovey-dovey” after he slept with prostitutes behind her back.

“We’re not the lovey-dovey type anyway and we like to have a laugh together and we work well together, and we’ve got four kids,” she explains in Rooney - the new documentary about Wayne’s life and football career.

Coleen admits that her four sons are part of the reason she's taken Wayne back time and time again.

“I know people say, ‘Oh were they just staying together to keep the family unit together?’” she explains.

“That was part of it but also we still love each other.”

“Hopefully he’s learnt and he doesn’t get himself into any of those horrible situations again,” Coleen adds.

“But it’s happened and I’ve got to live with it and if I couldn’t cope with living with it I would have ended the relationship.”

Discussing ignoring criticism on staying with Wayne, she continues: “When you’re making those decisions you’ve got to focus on what you want and not what anybody else thinks because you have so many people saying different things to you, ‘Why’s she getting back with him,’ or, ‘She should have got rid of him ages ago,’” she said.

Telling that she turned to her family during rocky patches in her marriage, she goes on: “Obviously I listen to the people that matter to me, my mum and dad and they’ve always given me a positive outlook on things and there’s nothing that we can’t deal with and that’s my way of… we’re in a situation let’s sit down and let’s see what we can do and can you make it work and we have.”
