Coleen Rooney admits her husband Wayne needs to be 'supervised' after string of affairs

Coleen Rooney has admitted she thinks her husband Wayne needs to be supervised around alcohol.

Over the course of their 14-year long marriage, Coleen and Wayne’s relationship has been rocked by a string of scandals – with alcohol blamed as a catalyst for the ex-England player making bad choices on nights out.

"It’s not a good thing for Wayne to be unsupervised," she admits in Rooney - the new documentary about the star footballer's career and personal life.

It comes after reports the 35-year-old WAG has hired a chaperone to accompany her husband on nights out.

In the new documentary set to air on Prime Video this Friday, Coleen says alcohol gets her husband into "bad situations".

"I knew groups that Wayne was hanging around with that weren’t good for him, lovely people but together with alcohol, not good," she said.

"And I told him that from day one and I didn’t want him to stop being friends with them but I just didn’t want him to go out in situations with them because they got themselves into bad situations.

"But I do think alcohol has a lot to do with it and still has from things that have happened recently and I think it’s not a good thing for Wayne to be unsupervised."

Coleen has been married to 36-year-old footballer turned manager Wayne since 2008 and together they share four sons; Kai, 12, Klay, eight, Kit, six, and three-year-old Cass.

Wayne previously admitted to romping with prostitutes behind the back of his now wife Coleen.

The mum-of-four has taken her husband back time and time again over the years - and her forgiveness appears to have no limit.

When asked in the new documentary if she's accepted Wayne's infidelities, she said: "No not the behaviour no, it’s not acceptable.

"Forgiveness is different, I’d say is different.

"I wouldn’t, it’s not acceptable that what he’s done but it’s happened and that was the stage of life we were in at the time but we’ve moved on."

The highly anticipated documentary film Rooney launches on Prime Video on Friday 11th February.
