Coleen Nolan walks off Loose Women set moments before end of show

Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan walked off the show's set during Monday's (Nov 21) episode, just moments before the programme was scheduled to end. In a struggle to contain her excitement, the ITV star headed off early in a bid to watch the start of the first England World Cup 2022 game against Iran.

Coleen was joined by fellow stars Jane Moore, Gloria Hunniford and Brenda Edward as they interviewed ex I'm A Celeb campmate Charlene White and The Chase's Mark Labbett. Anchor for the show, Jane Moore, went on to give Coleen permission to leave so she could catch the game.

"That is it for today. You can go. Go on Coleen. She's desperate to go and watch the football," Jane told viewers as the show reached its end. Jane also informed fans that the talkshow would not be on air for the next few days as ITV is due to broadcast matches from the tournament.

She said: "We are taking a break for a couple of days due to the World Cup coverage. We will be back on Thursday, joined by Strictly's Hamza and Jowita. Good luck to England and Wales today. She's gone." ITV's coverage of thw World Cup will also impact Lorraine and This Morning, with the two daytime shows returning to screens on Friday.

In England's first World Cup game of 2022, the team smashed Iran 6-2, getting their campaign off to a rip-roaring start. England were in a comfortable lead by half-time thanks to three goals from Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling, with Iran at 0.

In the second half, Marcus Rashford then marked his return to international football with a goal just 50 seconds after coming on as a substitute. Saka followed shortly after with another goal and Jack Grealish brought the total up to six. The next England game will take place on Friday, where Gareth Southgate's men will go up against USA.
