Coleen Nolan's Emmerdale son Jake Roche living in her garage on Universal credit

Coleen Nolan's son, Jake Roche, has issued an emotional update to fans, as he reveals that he is "a failure". The 30-year-old posted a video on TikTok, in which he told a fan that he is currently living off of Universal Credit and in his mum's garage.

In the video, Jake can be seen chatting to a fan who tells him that they "love [his] band". The fan then asks Jake what he is up to now, at which point Jake reveals that he is on Universal Credit and living in his mum's garage.

Loose Women panellist Coleen shares two sons with EastEnders actor, Shane Richie, and Jake is the pair's youngest son. He is perhaps best known as the frontman of the band Push Baby, as well as for playing Isaac Nuttall in Emmerdale.

But Jake's showbiz career has been put on hold, leaving him feeling like "a failure". In the video, Jake told the fan: "I'm on Universal Credit, and I live with my mum in her garage. I'm a failure."

But the fan was quick to come to Jake's defence, insisting that he is not a failure. They reassured him that "everyone goes through hardships".

They said: "Firstly I'd like to say you are not a failure. Everyone goes through hardships in life and you will get through yours. Now I understand today, you've told me you're on Universal Credit.

"We live in a cruel world here and that's the sad thing. You don't need to say anything about anything, just get better whatever you're going through."

Jake replied with thanks, telling the fan that they are "a legend", before saying: "You're the best, what's your name?"

The fan then came into the frame for a selfie with Jake and said: "I'm Sugarpuff, entertainment presenter and a content creator." The pair then bumped fists and Jake could be seen with a big smile on his face.
