Chelsea footballer Cole Palmer was seen partying with a slew of Love Island stars in Ibiza after being snubbed from the England World Cup squad.
The 24-year-old failed to make Thomas Tuchel’s team, who touched down in Florida earlier this week ahead of this summer’s showpiece tournament.
Palmer - who is dating Olivia Holder - appeared to be drowning his sorrows as he partied with friends at Wayne Lineker’s Ocean Beach Club on the Spanish party island on Wednesday.
He hung out with Love Island stars Megan Moore, Lauren Wood and Jess Harding at his booth, with sources claiming they were “all over him”.
“Cole Palmer stayed out of sight in the O Beach DJ booth, he wanted privacy. His friend invited some of the girls from Love Island to join him and they were all over him,” a source told the Mail.
“He had security keeping an eye on him.’
His girlfriend Holder is thought to be back at home in the UK.
An onlooker said: “Megan Moore, Lauren Wood and Jess Harding were dancing in front of Cole, he was having a great time with the girls, they are beautiful.
“He was letting loose after a tough season. By the end of the night he was chatting to the girls.”
Palmer, his friends and the Love Island stars are thought to have left the DJ booth at around 11pm. A separate source told The Sun that Palmer and Moore are “old friends” as her cousin manages his social media.
The Standard has contacted Palmer’s representative for comment.
The athlete’s trip to Ibiza comes after he failed to make the cut for the England team.
Palmer had been seen as a sure bet for England, having been named as their player of the year in 2024 after coming off the bench to score in the European Championship final defeat by Spain in Berlin.
However, he has rarely been available for selection since Tuchel took charge of the Three Lions at the start of last year and also seen his previously impressive club form tail off during a tough, injury-disrupted campaign at Stamford Bridge.
He is not the only Chelsea player with World Cup aspirations who will now not be going to this summer’s tournament in North America, with the likes of Levi Colwill and Trevoh Chalobah also not included by England.
Palmer began dating Holder after splitting from nail technician Connie Grace last July.
He first went public with the beauty specialist in December at Winter Wonderland. Holder runs a beauty clinic with her sister in Bromley, London.
