Coldplay, no introduction needed, will return to Bangkok to perform at Rajamangala National Stadium. The same venue they performeded at in 2017 for their "A Head Full Of Dreams World Tour".
In May, the band announced eight November dates for the Asia and Oceania leg of their "Music Of The Spheres World Tour", without Bangkok. This gave rise to speculation that they will return to Bangkok and now the capital is officially on their tour as it was announced today that the leg has been extended to include the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand with dates in January and February next year.
It looks like the quartet will conclude their record-breaking tour, in Bangkok on Feb 3, 2024, at Rajamangala National Stadium. Singapore is particularly lucky as the band will perform on four dates at the Singapore National Stadium.
So far, the highly-acclaimed tour has sold more than seven million tickets and Coldpay won "Favourite Touring Artist" at the American Music Awards in 2022 and the iHeartRadio Awards' "Tour Of The Year" title this year.
According to the setlists revealed, the concert will be divided into four acts — Planets, Moons, Stars and Home — and feature more than 20 songs, including "Yellow" for day one fans to hits from the tour's namesake album.
What's also special about the tour is the band is attempts at being eco-friendly and reducing their carbon footprints through a logistics partnership with DHL. They claimed to be able to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 47% compared to previous tours from 2016 to 2017. They pledged to grow one tree per ticket sold and so far 5 million trees have been planted.
They also offer "Infinity Tickets" so fans can attend their show at more affordable prices. These tickets are available in limited numbers and must be purchased in a pair and one person can buy two such tickets with seats next to each other. More details coming soon.
The pre-sale tickets will be available for Live Nation Tero members and fan clubs on June 19 from 10am-10pm. General ticket sales start on June 20 from 10am. The seating plan and ticket tiers will soon be revealed by Live Nation Tero soon.
