Commuters hopping off a train did a big double take after travelling alongside Coldpay's Chris Martin. The keen environmentalist, forgoing the helicopter or chauffeur-driven private car, opted to take the train to Cardiff in time for the band's highly anticipated performances in the city the city.
The world famous band are playing two sell-out gigs at the Principality Stadium as part of their Music of the Spheres tour, reports WalesOnline. The band took over the Etihad Stadium in Manchester over the weekend, full of colour and confetti as they played in front of thousands.
On Monday, June 5, Chris appeared to take a Transport for Wales train from Manchester to the Welsh capital. Dressed in a grey T-shirt, tracksuit bottoms and a baseball cap, he appeared to go largely unnoticed until he was spotted by a member of staff on the platform.

Fresh off the train from Manchester, Chris, whose estimated net worth is £160 million, was spotted mingling with other passengers when he noticed a member of staff filming on the platform and went over to say hello. As the singer went up to say hello, the man filming said: "Thanks Chris. Wow."
Fans were quick to praise his low-key entrance. One said: "Brilliant entrance by Chris love it!"
Another simply said: "The best."
Coldplay will be playing at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff tonight (June 6) and tomorrow in front of thousands of fans. There will be two support acts, including a local artist, performing before Coldplay begin their set, with gates for the Principality Stadium will open at 5pm both days.
Meanwhile, some fans began queuing for their spot at the front from early this morning. James Walls, Lewis Branwen and Hannah Barten have been outside the Principality Stadium since 6am.
James Walls, 21 from Cornwall, said: "My mum is having a nice lie in at the hotel but when she gets here we’ll swap. I’ve brought a load of signs and everything to get their attention."
