Cold and flu ingredient to be removed over allergy link

A medicinal herb found in cold and flu supplements will be phased off Australian shelves over links to severe allergic reactions.

Andrographis paniculata (andrographis), also known as green chiretta, has been barred from new medicines entering the Australian market, the Therapeutic Goods Administration announced on Monday.
