Coffee Prices Underpinned by Tight Supplies

Sep arabica coffee (KCU23) on Wednesday closed up +2.40 (+1.46%), and Sep ICE robusta coffee (RMU23) closed up +39 (+1.48%).

Coffee prices Wednesday settled moderately higher, with arabica posting a 5-week high.   Coffee prices are climbing on signs of ever-tighter supplies.  ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories on Wednesday fell to a record low of 5,131 lots (data history back to 2016).  Also, ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories Wednesday dropped to an 8-1/4 month low of 528,002 bags.
