Coffee Prices Surge on Dry Conditions in Brazil and Tariff Threats

September arabica coffee (KCU25) today is up +11.55 (+4.03%), and September ICE robusta coffee (RMU25) is up +169 (+5.25%).

Coffee prices today are sharply higher, with arabica coffee climbing to a 1.5-week high.  Excessive dryness in Brazil has sparked fund short covering in coffee futures today after Somar Meteorologia reported that Brazil's largest arabica coffee-growing area, Minas Gerais, received no rain during the week ended July 12.
