Coffee Prices Slide on Brazilian Real Weakness and Brazil Harvest Pressures

September arabica coffee (KCU24) today is down -0.95 (-0.42%), and Sep ICE robusta coffee (RMU24) is down -44 (-1.09%).

Coffee prices today are moderately lower, with arabica falling to a 2-week low and robusta dropping to a 1-week low.  A slumping Brazilian real (^USDBRL) is undercutting coffee prices as the real today fell to a 2-1/2 year low against the dollar, encouraging export sales from Brazil's coffee producers.  Also, a faster pace of Brazil's coffee harvest is boosting coffee supplies after Safras & Mercado today reported that Brazil's 2024/25 coffee harvest was 50% completed as of June 25, faster than 45% last year at the same time and faster than the 5-year average of 47%.
