July arabica coffee (KCN25) Thursday closed down -16.10 (-4.02%), and July ICE robusta coffee (RMN25) closed down -243 (-4.53%).
Coffee prices on Thursday sank to 1-week lows and settled sharply lower. Coffee prices fell because of concern that higher tariffs would boost coffee prices and dampen demand. Several global commodity importers, including Starbucks, Hershey, and Mondelez International, said the US's baseline 10% tariff on imports would raise prices and further pressure sales volumes.
