Coffee Prices Settle Higher on Supply Woes

March arabica coffee (KCH26) on Thursday closed up +1.80 (+0.48%), and January ICE robusta coffee (RMF26) closed up +115 (+2.55%).

Coffee prices settled higher on Thursday, with robusta up sharply at a 2-week high. Thursday's dollar weakness prompted some short covering in arabica coffee, while weather concerns in Vietnam boosted robusta coffee. Heavy rain has delayed harvesting in Vietnam's biggest coffee-growing province, Dak Lak, with forecasts of additional showers that could damage crops.
