Coffee Prices Retreat as Weather Risks in Brazil and Vietnam Subside

December arabica coffee (KCZ25) today is down -8.60 (-2.04%), and November ICE robusta coffee (RMX25) is down -150 (-3.17%).

Coffee prices gave up an early rally today and sold off sharply, with arabica falling from an 8.5-month nearest-futures high and robusta falling from a 5-week high. Arabica coffee retreated after Climatempo forecast weekend showers for Brazil's coffee-growing regions. Robusta coffee slumped today after Vietnam's weather office lowered the likelihood of heavy rains in the Central Highlands, the country's main coffee-producing region, reducing the risk of crop damage.
