May arabica coffee (KCK25) Friday closed down -2.75 (-0.71%), and May ICE robusta coffee (RMK25) closed down -74 (-1.36%).

Coffee prices on Friday extended Thursday's sharp losses on forecasts for rain in Brazil. Somar Meteorologia said Thursday that dry and hot weather in Brazil for the rest of this week will give way to several days of showers next week, easing dry conditions.
