Coffee Prices Post Moderate Losses on Dollar Strength and Stronger ICE Inventories

March arabica coffee (KCH25) Wednesday closed down -4.05 (-1.26%), and March ICE robusta coffee (RMH25) closed down -63 (-1.26%).

Coffee prices Wednesday posted moderate losses, with arabica falling to a 1-week low.  Wednesday's dollar strength weighed on most commodity prices, including coffee.  Also, an increase in inventories is bearish for prices as ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories rose to a 2-1/2 year high Monday of 993,562 bags.  Also, ICE-monitored robusta coffee inventories rose to a 3-month high Wednesday of 4,415 lots.
